Research Data Procurement Senior Specialist

About the Role: As a key member of the Global External Content Management team at Boston Consulting Group, you will play a critical role in enabling and procuring research sources and tools for our internal stakeholders. This includes managing research sources suppliers, providing operational support, risk reduction, and acting as the central coordination point for stakeholders.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of vendors across different geographies to ensure seamless business operations and minimize disruptions.
- Savings Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on savings opportunities through strategic vendor relationships and negotiations.
- Supplier Evaluation and Selection: Support and lead multi-country and multi-function teams in evaluating and selecting suppliers.
- Business Review and Planning: Conduct regular business reviews and develop internal business data strategies to drive business behaviors and vendor relationships.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate and set new vendor contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
What We're Looking For:
- Research and Vendor Management Expertise: Proven experience in research/vendor/contract management and other vendor oversight activities.
- Internal Business Relationships: Developing and owning internal business relationships while managing external vendors.
- Problem-Solving and Analytics: Solving problems using analytics to leverage available management information and build negotiation strategies.
- Independence and Influence: Working with minimal supervision and influencing senior business stakeholders.
- Business Acumen and Skills: Strong analytic and communication skills, excellent presence, and business acumen, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
About the Team:
We are part of the global external content team, covering Sourcing/Contract management, Sourcing Operations, Integration Portal, and Training Communications. Your role will focus on the Sourcing/Contract management vertical and involve working closely with sourcing teammates, other colleagues, and business stakeholders/vendors globally.
