Job Overview

The role of the Business Support Analyst is vital in both pre-sales and post-sales activities, playing a significant role in enhancing our clients' long-term satisfaction. This position also entails performing quality assurance tasks related to our property team products.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this position is on customer support. The Business Support Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of business processes and core products.
  • Assisting sales teams by providing product samples or technical insights to facilitate pre-contract sales efforts.
  • Supporting large contract proposals as needed, which may involve market research, outlining customer support mechanisms, processes, or data analysis.
  • Ensuring the delivery of contracted products, data, and/or services to clients.
  • Creating necessary sales and support documentation.
  • Documenting, tracking, and addressing client inquiries regarding any aspect of the products received, collaborating with sales or product specialists to resolve client issues.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, licenses, and issued products on platforms like SharePoint and/or Salesforce.
  • Participating in conferences or client meetings where technical support is required.
  • Attending essential meetings with Sales and Business Unit Management to discuss client issues or requests.
  • Providing updates on client-related matters, ensuring that any issues requiring escalation are promptly identified and addressed.

Secondary Responsibilities:
These involve QA and product-related tasks.

  • Collaborating with product managers and developers to gain insights into the products.
  • Designing, planning, and executing test cases.
  • Ensuring the product meets the acceptance criteria.
  • Identifying, logging, and tracking defects.
  • Creating and maintaining test packs to cover each product.

Qualifications:
The essential knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience for this pivotal role include:

  • Experience in a customer support role with direct customer interaction.
  • Familiarity with mapping and geospatial data applications, such as ESRI, FME, or QGIS.
  • Effective communication with customers (both technical and non-technical) and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in analyzing large data sets to identify anomalies and inconsistencies.
  • A strong problem-solving orientation and client engagement skills, with the ability to address a range of inquiries and issues, from simple questions to complex technical matters.
  • A commitment to prioritizing and resolving issues to high standards, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • The confidence to seek assistance from peers and management when necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce, along with an understanding of quality assurance processes.

Desirable Attributes:

  • A university degree.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, backend automation.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and practices.
