We are seeking a highly skilled Theoretical Chemistry Researcher to join our team at Springhill Suites Statesboro University Area. As a postdoctoral research assistant, you will be working in the field of theoretical/computational chemistry and computational electromagnetism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a general computational protocol for the accurate simulation of magnetic dipole-allowed absorption spectra using different electronic structure methods
  • Investigate the magnetic dipole-allowed absorption spectra of various compound classes
  • Investigate vibrational effects on magnetic dipole-allowed absorption spectra
Requirements:
  • Completed doctoral/PhD studies in Theoretical Chemistry (or related subject)
  • Hands-on experience with scientific computing and programming skills (Fortran/Python/Scripting languages)
  • Excellent research competence in theoretical chemistry (proven through international publications in peer-relevant media)
  • Understanding of excited states, photophysics, and computational spectroscopy
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Team player and high social skills
