Research Opportunity in System Chemistry

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented researcher to join our System Chemistry Team at IMDEA Nanociencia. The selected candidate will work on a project focused on the implementation of a new method to perform heterogeneous catalysis in continuous flow reactors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality research within the scope of the project.
  • Fabricate different antitube-based mixing devices and quantify the mixing efficiency and heterogeneous catalytic conversions.
  • Perform physical-chemical and structural characterization of materials using X-ray, electron microscopy, and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Prepare reports and papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
  • Present research results in international conferences.
About the Team

The selected candidate will join a young and dynamic research group working at the interface of supramolecular chemistry and fluidics. Our team designs chemical reaction networks that control hydrogel materials and has pioneered a new method to make fluidic devices using magnetic levitation.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Team player with demonstrated self-motivation and autonomy.
  • Knowledge in characterization techniques and previous experience in researching will be highly evaluated.
