Job Summary:
Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Wind and Site Technician to join our team. As a key member of our project support team, you will be responsible for developing and improving our wind tool, providing support during the tendering phase, and conducting technical evaluations of wind tool risks during project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand site-specific wind and climate conditions.
- Analyze and identify constraints for every specific site and support the tendering team during the wind analysis phase.
- Conduct risks analysis to determine the best solution considering project constraints (hub height, rotor diameter, major component wind speed limit).
- Align with the engineering department to understand and define the right parameters.
- Calculate the wind impact on site during project execution outcomes and compare with the ones obtained with the wind tool.
- Combine technical requirements and practical limitations to achieve the best wind risk performance.
- Identify risks and opportunities to improve the wind tool.
- Collect and compare wind analysis data from different sites with the wind tool.
- Implement and support corporate processes and tools, and develop locally required processes/tools with different regions.
- Report achievements, risks, and challenges on a regular basis.
- Occasionally travel within the country and abroad as part of the job.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering/Meteorology or equivalent.
- Microsoft package and experience working with wind tools.
- Competence in wind flow modeling and using relevant software such as WindPro, WAsP, or other comparable software. Experience with CFD codes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position/job. Experience in crane and transport in wind energy. Crane operations planning.
- High English level, German is a plus.
- Communication skills.
- Proactivity and assertiveness.
- Ability to work with multicultural teams.
