As a Senior Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving results in health and safety regulatory compliance, standards, injury prevention, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:- Regulatory Compliance: Develop and implement a health and safety regulatory compliance system to ensure adherence to applicable legislations and standards, including ISO 45001.
- Hazards Identification and Risk Management: Coordinate health and safety hazards identification of all activities within the region, support risk assessment, and implement relevant control measures.
- Standard Implementation and Development: Support the implementation of Edwards Lifesciences' health and safety standards and regional programs, and contribute to the development of global standards.
- Incident Reporting and Performance: Drive incident reporting, investigation, improvement, and health and safety performance.
- Health and Safety Guidance: Provide guidance on health and safety management based on ISO 45001 standards and support continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Science, or Health and Safety) and 4+ years of experience in EHS.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Substantial understanding and knowledge of ISO and other relevant regulations.
- NEBOSH or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence change.
