Job Summary

The HR Business Partner Iberia is responsible for supporting the business strategy by developing and delivering the people strategy in Spain and Portugal. This role will focus on partnering with Elanco business leaders in the respective countries, in attracting, retaining, and developing talent while building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thought Leadership and Strategic Partnership: Partner with respective business leaders and various Centers of Excellence (COEs) to develop the business strategy and corresponding HR strategy. Member of the cluster Leadership Team.
  • Talent Management and Staff Development: Partner with respective business leaders to provide coaching and develop strategies to proactively manage the retention and development of key talent, including current and future leadership talent.
  • Organization Diagnosis, Intervention Design, and Change Management: Advise and influence business leaders to ensure the cluster is appropriately designed to achieve its strategic and operational business objectives.
  • Core HR Process Stewardship: Advise and influence site leaders to ensure that core HR processes are leveraged for behavior change with employees and influences the central HR COEs by providing perspectives and needs of the business group for consideration in developing the programs and processes.
  • Deliver HR Essential Wins, ensuring essential goals are met, local HR programs are implemented, and relevant processes are followed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent from a reputable university
  • 10+ years of Human Resource experience in either HR Generalist or Specialist roles, preferably from a medium to large multinational company
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, Recruiting, C&B, and/or Organization Development philosophy and practice along with HR professional ethics
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, and Portuguese is preferable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in collaborating with Spanish Works Councils
  • Ability to work with multiple countries and different local environments (including labor law) in a matrix international organization
  • Expertise working with HR Centers of Expertise and Solution Centers

Additional Information

  • Travel approximately 10% of the time, to meet affiliates' needs
  • Location: Based in the cluster, preferably in Madrid, Spain
  • Flexibility to work 30 days per quarter or 3 days per week from the office, and remaining in home office
