Job Title: General Foreperson for Heavy Equipment

Wright Tree Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Foreperson for Heavy Equipment to join our team. As a General Foreperson, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our heavy equipment crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the heavy equipment crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that all crew members are following proper safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure that crew members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor and control crew costs, including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Human Resources and Risk Management, to ensure that all necessary procedures are followed.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise within the crew.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, property owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operations, with a focus on tree care and landscaping.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
