We are currently seeking a BIM Solutions Specialist to enhance our team in Spain.

Role Responsibilities:

The BIM Solutions Specialist will be pivotal in managing and executing BIM processes and technologies within Group IPS. This role is essential for promoting collaboration among various departments involved in the design, construction, and operational phases of industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Acting as the Project Manager for smaller projects or Procurement Manager for larger undertakings.
- Formulating procurement strategies that align with project objectives.
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers to select the most appropriate vendors.
- Maintaining a curated database of suppliers and contracts tailored to IPS's needs.
- Designing and executing procurement processes, including RFIs, RFQs, and contract awarding.
- Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure procurement activities meet project requirements.
- Monitoring procurement processes and systematically reporting progress and risks to project management.
- Understanding construction contracts to lead commercial negotiations effectively.

As the Owner of the BIM Standard Operating Procedure (SOP):

- Possessing extensive knowledge and expertise in BIM.
- Providing consultation and guidance to project managers and team members.
- Conducting research to stay updated on the latest BIM trends and advancements.
- Developing training materials and technical documentation.
- Continuously improving the SOP by integrating lessons learned from projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience with BIM software tools, particularly REVIT, Navisworks Manage, and BIM360.
  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in similar roles.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in French or Dutch.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IFC and COBie.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Project management and leadership capabilities to execute BIM initiatives.
  • Innovative mindset, open to new ideas and developments.
  • Analytical skills to tackle complex BIM challenges.
  • Leadership abilities to motivate a team of BIM professionals.
  • Preferred certifications in BIM, such as Autodesk Certified Professional or BuildingSMART Professional Certification.
