Position: Business Analyst - Custom Web Applications

Overview

Nippon Gases stands as a prominent player in the industrial and medical gases sector across Europe, catering to over 150,000 clients. Our operations span various industries, including healthcare, food production, manufacturing, metallurgy, chemical products, electronics, and energy.

We are in search of a skilled business analyst/project manager specializing in web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain existing web applications, addressing issues and enhancement requests from business stakeholders, prioritizing tasks, and developing functional and technical documentation for the development team.
  • Occasionally lead projects aimed at creating or expanding custom web applications for diverse regions in Europe, coordinating efforts with other IT teams and external technical partners.
  • Review code quality when necessary, leveraging technical skills to ensure high standards, as applications will be developed by both internal and external programmers.

The Business Analyst will be based in Madrid and will report directly to the Custom Business Applications Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Project Management certification or completion of a recognized project management program is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English (B2/C1 level).
  • Native Spanish speaker.
  • Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT and business roles with similar responsibilities.

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Entity Framework).
  • Experience with custom web development, particularly using Microsoft technologies and platforms: (C#, MVC, .NET framework, Web APIs (REST/SOAP), Azure DevOps, Azure services, Power Platform, SPA, HTML, JavaScript, .NET Framework / .NET Core, API and Web Services (both REST and SOAP), Mobile development (Xamarin / MAUI) – preferred).
