About the Role

Aveva is a global leader in industrial software, and we're seeking a highly skilled R&D Senior OTS & Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, assisting and mentoring them in the use of our cloud-hosted operator training solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective support to customers/end-users in using our offerings
  • Ascertain details and reproduce reported issues promptly
  • Solve issues and work with customers to realize a resolution
  • Capture solutions within our database/FAQs
  • Debug code to understand root causes when needed
  • Log work items and collaborate with developers and QA to produce fixes
  • Test fixes before delivering them to customers with relevant release notes
  • Assist with specification, development, and testing of new features in AVEVA Unified Learning
  • Write and review technical documents
  • Highlight and champion product and process improvements
Requirements
  • Formal training with a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience delivering engineering solutions, preferably operator training simulators
  • 2-3 years of experience with cloud-hosted solutions, with a demonstrated interest in developing further technical competency in cloud solutions
  • Clear and effective communication with customers, technology teams, and senior leadership
  • Natural interest in analyzing and debugging technical issues
  • Preferred: Good coding/scripting skills
  • Preferred: Prior experience with customer support
