As a Data Analyst Trainee, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvements in digital capabilities and advanced analytics. You will lead the development of new digital products providing critical insights that help solve business challenges.
The successful candidate will lead efforts to improve the chemical data understanding across the organization through improved process, governance, and data management.
Main Responsibilities- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a liaison among stakeholders to analyze, document, and validate requirements for reporting and changes to business processes.
- Data Product Development: Develop and maintain data products.
- Reporting and Dashboards: Develop, test, and operationalize new standardized reporting and maintain business intelligence dashboards.
- Process Automation: Lead automation of processes and analyses.
- Training and Development: Train other teams in systems, tools, and processes owned by ADS.
- Business Insights: Proactively make recommendations and identify opportunities to solve business problems through new business intelligence reporting.
- IT Collaboration: Interface with IT to specify and implement improvements to our data pipelines.
- Analytical Interest: Interest in an analytical or business intelligence role.
- Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization and presenting insights to key stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office suite and intermediate SQL skills, or willingness to learn.
- Reporting and Dashboard Experience: Experience designing and building standard reports and dashboards.
- Project Management: History of managing and delivering projects, tasks, and initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Ability to create, implement, document, and continuously improve processes in a changing environment.
- Data Science: Training or experience in data science areas such as time series analysis, forecasting, classification, and regression analysis.
- Data Analytics Tools: Experience with data analytics tools such as Python, R, SPSS, MATLAB, Stata, and SAS.
- Global Team Experience: Experience working with global cross-functional teams and demonstrated ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical expertise.
- PowerBI Experience: Microsoft PowerBI experience.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the petrochemical industry a plus.
- Education: Enrolled in or recently completed degree with emphasis in Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering preferred.
