Key Responsibilities- Design and execute experiments to test the suitability of chemical processes for large-scale use.
- Evaluate and propose different synthetic alternatives considering chemical complexity, profitability, intellectual property, and EHS aspects.
- Monitor reaction processes and product quality output using analytical methods and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Communicate effectively with peers, leads, and management about project status.
- Report and discuss project progress with stakeholders.
- Education: A degree in chemistry or a related discipline is required.
- Languages: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Spanish are required.
- Experience: Proven technical experience in the fine chemicals industry is highly valued.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work well under pressure, and excellent housekeeping and safety practices.
- Experience in chemical synthesis and process development.
- Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR.
- Ability to effectively perform literature searches using available tools.
- Experience using Design of Experiment (DOE) principles.
