About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fuel Systems Engineer to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. As a key member of our Engineering Department, Systems CoC, you will contribute to the development of Fuel Systems for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Fuel Systems Architecture: Contribute to the development of Fuel Systems architecture, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Allocate Functions and Requirements: Allocate functions, requirements, performance, and integrity level for subsystems and equipment, ensuring optimal system performance and safety.
  • Develop System Specifications: Define system specifications, including hydromechanical, functional, performance, and thermal modeling, under the framework of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Collaborate with various groups within Airbus, including Flight Test, Safety, Chief Engineer's Office, Programs, Airworthiness, Customer Support, and Procurement, to ensure seamless system development and integration.
  • Elaborate Documentation: Develop relevant documentation for airworthiness, certification, and qualification purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support Testing Activities: Contribute to testing activities, including test requirement definition, test execution, test tracking, and test reporting, to ensure system performance and safety.
  • Provide In-Service Support: Offer in-service and continuous airworthiness support, ensuring the system remains safe and efficient throughout its lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Hydromechanical Modeling Tools: Working knowledge of hydromechanical modeling tools under MBSE environment (Matlab, SIMULINK, Amesim, or similar) is mandatory.
  • Hydromechanical Systems Experience: Experience in hydromechanical systems is mandatory.
  • Thermal Modeling Experience: Experience in thermal modeling is desirable.
  • Control and Monitoring Systems Experience: Experience in control and monitoring (electronic/avionic) systems is desirable.
  • Data Analytics Experience: Experience in data analytics is desirable.
  • Language Skills: Negotiation-level English language skills (both written and verbal) are mandatory.
