About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer Team Leader to join our Product Development Unit for Packet Core (PDU PC) at Ericsson. The PDU PC is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Ericsson Packet Core portfolio, which includes 2G, 3G, 4G, and now 5G Packet Core.

The unit has main sites in five countries globally: China, Hungary, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. The Development Group unit in Madrid (DG AO) specializes in Analytics & Optimizations.

We develop, release, and maintain best-in-class traffic management, optimization, and analytics service functions reusable across the PC Gateway and Multi-Service Proxy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic technical leadership and take part in understanding technical strategies for own product area.
  • Stay informed about industry practices and professional/technical development, and align technology strategies with product and technology development.
  • Act as a technical reference within the team and hold the team accountable for its goals, aligned with the organization and operational strategy (SFA).
  • Facilitate the split of work and tasks to improve team productivity and KPI alignment (Quality, Lead Time, Predictability).
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities within team members, encourage solutions for barriers, and guide the team flexibly through the feature development process.
  • Develop and test high-quality products, and contribute to product evolution.
  • Drive continuous improvements of products and processes, and promote CI of products, services, and processes as an integrated part of the development work.
  • Initiate and drive improvements in own organization, drive innovation, and facilitate communication within and outside the team.
  • Understand and coordinate the relationships and dependencies with other teams and roles, and provide feedback to management about competence development needs and other factors influencing team performance.

Requirements

  • Senior developer role with experience in driving and coordinating development activities.
  • Strong technical leadership skills and ability to align technology strategies with product and technology development.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with ability to facilitate communication within and outside the team.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvements of products and processes, and promote CI of products, services, and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to guide the team flexibly through the feature development process.
