We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team at King, a leading game developer behind the world-famous Candy Crush franchise and other popular mobile games.
As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will be part of a team that builds and maintains technology to support the studio in creating new franchises. This includes integrating with existing tech, developing new creative solutions for our games, investigating problems reported by the game teams, and coaching fellow developers.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, design, and implement components, features, and systems in Java.
- Work on a live game product with a massive number of active users.
- Support game servers from a Level 3 support perspective, investigating issues when escalated.
- Collaborate with our game teams and enjoy a creative, challenging, and collaborative workplace where your ideas will be valued as much as your programming expertise.
- Develop backend for mobile apps and work with different teams to provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Excellent communication skills, happy dealing with people from different business units and with varying degrees of technical savvy.
- Ability to translate business needs to technical requirements and implementation.
- Experience with UNIX environments and Git.
- Knowledge of databases and general web development.
- Experience with C# and Unity engine.
- Experience with Gradle build systems, Jenkins or other CI systems for automation, Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP / GKE.
