Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Engineer to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Certification and Regulatory Compliance functions, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and implement project procedures related to regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure suitable reporting to project management and clients.
  • Review national regulations identified as applicable by the legal consultant and inform the project of regulations that have an impact in each project phase, supporting clarification when necessary.
  • Ensure that documentation of regulatory compliance is robust and available.
  • Establish and maintain a permitting register.
  • Establish and implement a CE marking strategy, coordinating and supporting the project for the applicable European Directives (PED, ATEX, Machinery Directive, EMC, LV, etc.).
  • Adapt the workflow and cascade the requirement to Vendors and Subcontractors.
  • Establish and execute contracts with Notified Bodies.
  • Ensure that all exchanges with third parties are performed in a timely manner and are of the right quality.
  • Ensure that requirements are cascaded to Vendors/Subcontractors if required and final certification is received on time.
  • Support the project in Performance Standard coordination.

Requirements:

  • Ideal profile with an engineering degree and relevant work experience in the oil and gas or renewable energy industry.
  • Experience working with third-party organizations, national authorities, and industrial projects in the energy sector.
  • Good communication and coordination skills, ability to work with multiple disciplines.
  • Analytical and organizational mindset, with effectiveness in building and implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Experience in a similar Certification Engineer role, ideally in the Chemicals, Oil Gas industry, blue and green energy generation projects.
