Job Title: Principal Program Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Principal Program Manager to join our enablement team at Autodesk, an inclusive employer and a member of Mygwork – the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering successful outcomes. As a Principal Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing programs to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

You will report to our Senior Manager, Tools and Process Enablement and work closely with multiple stakeholders, including executives, project managers, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define program scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Develop detailed program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Manage program activities, ensuring agreement on organizational goals and priorities
  • Lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction and facilitating communication among team members, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Mentor team members, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Engage with and understand the needs and expectations of team members, ensuring they are met throughout the program lifecycle
  • Prepare and deliver regular program status updates, reports, and presentations
  • Manage relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction
  • Identify potential risks that could hinder program success, developing mitigation strategies
  • Monitor program progress, proactively addressing any deviations from the plan
  • Conduct post-program evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement
  • Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Monitor program expenditures, making adjustments to stay within budget

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Program Manager or in a similar role, with experience managing large-scale programs
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello)
  • PMP, or similar project or program management certification
  • 5+ Years of experience on a global enablement team
  • 5+ Years of experience supporting a revenue-generating organization
