About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect Software Engineer – Internet of Things (IoT) to join our team at Vodafone. As a key member of our product and architect team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software products that meet customer requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop IoT software solutions, ensuring seamless deployment and continuous integration.
  • Collaborate with the enterprise architecture and product teams to ensure requirements are met and engineering costs are minimized.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers, promoting best practices and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to apply new technology solutions or ways of working to existing or upcoming products and services.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for selected domain environments/ecosystems, influencing and building effective relationships with peers and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a software architect with industry experience in Software Platforms in Linux, on-premises, and cloud.
  • Strong academic knowledge and professional experience in software development: Java Enterprise, Oracle 11G, Linux, Windows.
  • Experience using system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks, as well as SQL, XML, JSON, and CSV.
  • Experience with modern API technologies, software architecture, design, and development patterns, and providing and maintaining transformations and APIs for customers and partners.
  • Good understanding of Databases – Oracle, MongoDB, and experience with Java frameworks, SpringBoot, and Spring technologies.
  • Experience with container systems (Docker) and orchestrators (Docker Compose, Kubernetes).
