The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process at Nutreco, ensuring seamless execution of logistics, procurement, and inventory management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance demand and supply, optimize processes, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Planning:
- Develop and implement supply chain plans to meet business requirements, aligning with Nutreco's strategic objectives.
- Manage forecasting, inventory management, and demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts.
- Procurement and Sourcing:
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services from suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and resolving issues.
- Logistics and Transportation:
- Oversee the movement of goods, managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Implement and maintain efficient logistics processes, reducing costs and improving service levels.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts, and reducing waste.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems, tracking and analyzing inventory data to inform business decisions.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting:
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance, including forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and transportation costs.
- Provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting supply chain performance and areas for improvement.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing changes to optimize supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement sustainable practices, reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Experience: 6-8 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
