The Role

We are seeking a UX Designer Patient Insights to join our Roche Information Solutions (RIS) User Experience team. This position will report to the Sub-chapter lead of User Experience Design & Validation (for Clinical Insights) and will work closely with UX researchers, product managers, other UX designers, and engineers from initial concept and strategy through the execution of interaction and visual design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user-centered experiences that meet business needs and user requirements.
  • Concept and design intuitive interfaces that promote usability and optimize the user experience of our products.
  • Identify design problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Design and deliver initial concept designs, user flows, wireframes, usage scenarios, user journeys, and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations on existing products.
  • Work with product managers to understand business needs and priorities.
  • Collaborate with engineers on interface implementation.
  • Ensure interfaces are held to a consistently high standard of user-centered design.
  • Partner with user researchers to influence insight studies related to the discovery and understanding of unresolved interface problems and needs.
  • Continuously challenge the effectiveness of design and stay up-to-date on behavioral analytics.
  • Recommend changes as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the overall design framework to ensure consistent experiences across the suite of products.
  • Work seamlessly with other designers, whether part of the in-house team or an external agency.
  • Close collaboration with the Medical and Regulatory teams.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of user-centered innovation.
  • Healthcare experience is strongly desired.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with design tools and technologies.
