Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Database Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our database systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in PostgreSQL and experience in database administration, performance optimization, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement database systems that meet the needs of our business applications.
- Database Administration: Administer and maintain our database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance to ensure fast query response times and efficient data processing.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of our database systems, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement robust backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate documentation of database systems and share knowledge with the team to ensure collective expertise.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in database administration, with a strong background in PostgreSQL.
- Skills: Proficiency in PostgreSQL, database design, performance optimization, security, backup and recovery, and monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
