About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team at Verisk. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software applications that meet business objectives and demonstrate independence in software development lifecycle phases.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior programmers and other software engineers, and participate in design and technical meetings.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and maintain mid-level to complex applications, and fine-tune SQL queries based on various RDBMS performance parameters.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal customers, research groups, and business support areas to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with N-tiered applications, multi-tier architecture, and production Internet architectures, with a strong understanding of object-oriented design concepts and software development processes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the insurance industry and data analytics, with a passion for development and latest technologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
