Job Title: IoT Software Architect

Vodafone Group is launching its new technological HUB (MSH), an international center of excellence dedicated to research and development of technical solutions, such as Secure Networks, 5G and 6G development, Open RAN, IoT, MPN & MEC and UCC for Vodafone Business, platforms and enterprise solutions.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Software Architect specializing in IoT to lead the development of various IoT projects. This role is integral to customer perception and the success of Vodafone's IoT product offerings. The ideal candidate will work with our product and architecture teams to deliver high-quality software products, ensuring we meet our revenue targets and maintain our market reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development team's progress to ensure alignment with the initial design.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for new technology solutions or methodologies to enhance current or future products and services, including integration with legacy systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for selected domain environments and ecosystems.
  • Influence and build effective relationships with peers within the group, local markets, suppliers, and partners.
Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of server technologies.
  • Strong academic knowledge and professional experience of software development: Java Enterprise, Oracle 11G, Linux, Windows.
  • Experience in software architecture, design and development patterns.
  • Experience of providing and maintaining transformations and APIs for customers and partners.
  • Good understanding of Databases – Oracle, MongoDB, ElasticSearch.
  • Experience with java frameworks, SpringBoot, Spring technologies, Camunda.
  • Experience with container systems (docker) and orchestrators (docker compose, Kubernetes).
