We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced European Scientific Project Manager to join our team at Fundació per a la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu. Key Responsibilities:- General coordination of European projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Interface between project coordinators and internal teams/partners or external stakeholders, facilitating communication and decision-making.
- Coordination of day-to-day internal scientific/technical work according to work plans, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Coordination of work packages where SJD is the leader, organizing meetings, collecting state-of-the-art clinical practices, and elaborating required documents.
- Writing guidelines, activity reports, and deliverables, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Preparation of agendas and presentations for project meetings and related committees, participating in meetings, drafting minutes, and chairing meetings.
- Providing guidance to project partners on scientific orientation, mitigation plans, ethical issues, work plans, and other relevant topics.
- Resolution of conflicts, orientation of partners toward work plans, and guidance of consortia toward objectives.
- Project quality and risk management, revising final documents, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Elaboration of Data Management Plans and DPIAs, monitoring data protection compliance, and ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory processes.
- Gantt chart follow-up, management of timelines and deadlines, and daily management activities.
- EC Portal monitoring, uploading deliverables, milestones, and outputs, and economic follow-up, including provider research and quote support.
- PhD in a health or related psycho-social field.
- Scientific background and understanding of qualitative and quantitative research approaches, including methods, techniques, and underlying theories.
- Ability to write technical and scientific content, guidelines, reports, and other documents.
- 1-3 years of experience in a scientific management or coordination role for European research projects.
- Good knowledge of main rules and regulations affecting European Projects, familiarity with EU-funded projects, and project management.
- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize project workload and meet time-critical schedules.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and give orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and thorough attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and reach consensus.
- English proficiency, with advanced Spanish language skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of people.
- Proactivity and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good numeracy skills with the ability to present and interpret financial reports.
- A permanent position.
- Full-time contract with a trial period of 4 months.
- Estimated starting date: September 2024.
