The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Debt Collections Agent to join our team in Barcelona. As a Debt Collections Agent, you will be responsible for contacting customers to inform them of overdue payments, planning a course of action to recover outstanding payments, negotiating payoff deadlines or payment plans, and responding to customer queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers via phone and email to inform them of overdue payments
- Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments
- Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
- Respond to customer queries
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Update account status and database
- Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary
Requirements
- 1+ years experience in Debt Collections
- Fluent in German and English
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to multitask and work with targets and tight deadlines
- Experience with MS Office and Salesforce
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
