Research FocusThe IJC is seeking a dedicated Predoctoral Researcher to join the Lymphocyte Development and Disease group led by Dr. Maribel Parra. This research group is particularly focused on:
- Investigating the mechanisms of gene silencing during normal and abnormal B-cell differentiation.
- Translating insights from epigenetics and transcriptional regulation of B-cell development into clinical applications for infant B-ALL and DLBCL patients.
- Conducting cell culture and performing genetic and pharmacological manipulations.
- Executing experiments utilizing mouse models of leukaemia.
- Engaging in molecular biology techniques.
- Applying basic biochemistry methods.
- Analyzing and interpreting research data.
- Preparing detailed reports on research findings.
- Possession of a BSc and MSc in biochemistry, biomedicine, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and cellular biology.
- Proficiency in working with mouse models is essential.
- A strong motivation and keen interest in research.
- Excellent collaborative and communication skills.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required; knowledge of Spanish is advantageous.
- A full-time predoctoral contract for one year, with potential for extension.
