Simulator Technician Co-Op Position

Role and Responsibilities:

This position is exclusively open to students pursuing an academic degree or technical certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine technical tasks on site, in the field, or laboratory.
  2. Receive training in various phases of laboratory, office, plant, or field technical work.
  3. Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems.
  4. Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems.
  5. Utilize maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities.
  6. Complete designated training activities.
  7. Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators.
  8. Perform basic visual alignments.
  9. Run automatic Qualification Test Guides.
  10. Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
  11. Learn and comply with CAE's quality management system.
  12. Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
  13. Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.
  14. Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
  15. Perform administrative tasks as required.
  16. Support the technical services group as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in operating test equipment.
  • Knowledge in analog and digital theory.
  • Computer literacy (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).
  • Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
  • Fluency in English.
Preferred Education:

2-year technical degree or 4 years in an electronic, avionic, or technical related field.

Additional Information:

Location of the internship is Milan. Internship will be carried out in person. All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Italy.
