Job Summary

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a skilled Domain Architect to join our Architecture unit in the Corporate/Customer Services domain.

This role involves designing and implementing domain-specific target architectures and underlying design principles to steer specific solution architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop domain-specific target architectures and underlying design principles.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to create architecture blueprints and technical debt backlog.
  • Manage domain IT specific technology lifecycle and translate it into a domain transformation roadmap.
  • Act as Lead Architect in programs related to large solutions crossing domains.
  • Ensure cross-architecture layer/end-to-end IT architecture consistency within the customer services domain.
  • Drive architecture effectiveness from a functional end-to-end perspective with cross-layer responsibility.
  • Support solution architecture by identifying and evaluating solution options.
  • Act as an internal consultant and independent moderator in domain-specific design discussions.
  • Assess deviation from standards and recommend standard alternatives.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in information technology or a similar field or bring a comparable qualification combined with several years of experience in big and complex environments.
  • Fluency in German or Spanish, plus English fluently in speaking and writing.
  • Experience with Togaf framework and Archimate language.
  • Good background in development, software architecture, and DevOps.
  • Good knowledge of cloud, traditional IT, and security.
  • Experience working with Agile and SAFe methodologies.
  • Technical project management experience.
  • Security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
