Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Fuenlabrada, Spain. As a VIE R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Working with R&D Project Engineers to obtain requirements for the design part of the project
- Preparing component and assembly 3D models / 2D drawings and related technical documentation
- Performing customer package and assembly checks using available CAD Systems (CATIA V5, ANSYS)
- Checking the conformity of the completed design with current design rules
- Designing products considering failure mode analysis
- Assisting with feasibility studies and supporting supplier activities
- Staying up-to-date with new standards and general market information in the industry
- Working innovatively and creatively within the group to protect innovation and IP through the patent process
- Ensuring proper storage, archiving, and distribution of all issued documents in agreement with the R&D Project Engineers
- Advising on system compatibility issues, data management, and security; making improvement suggestions
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Engineering
- Experience in a similar position in an automotive/production company
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 (part, assembly, and drafting workbenches)
- Skills in dimensioning and tolerancing design
