**Job Summary**
As a Senior Data Architect at BASF SE, you will play a pivotal role in managing and advancing our data semantics capabilities. Your work will focus on enhancing our Data Excellence architecture, including improvements on the Ontology Management Framework and Knowledge Graph Solution Stack as well as integrating them seamlessly with other platforms to support dynamic and insightful data interactions across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the development of the Data Excellence architecture, including the design and implementation of data models, data governance, and data quality.
- Ensure seamless integration of Data Excellence components, collaborating closely with the Product Owner and Solutions Architect.
- Automate processes and workflows to streamline operations and synchronize data with connected systems.
- Collaborate with the product team to gauge demand, devise new features, and implement solutions that facilitate dynamic data interactions.
- Translate both functional and non-functional requirements into a cost-effective and efficient system architecture.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement solutions, ensuring high quality through adherence to best practices and comprehensive testing.
- Develop and integrate advanced machine learning and AI models for enhanced information extraction, retrieval, and graph analytics.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Senior experience in software engineering, data science, or AI engineering.
- Strong programming expertise, preferably in Python; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience with data management and storage technologies, preferably including NoSQL and graph databases.
- Solid background in agile project management, with experience leading projects to successful completion.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
