Job Title: Quality Assurance Software Engineer

Carrier is a leading provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security, and cold chain solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Software Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Software Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software systems developed by Carrier Corp. This includes designing test cases, executing tests, tracking progress, documenting results, and diagnosing issues identified. The successful candidate will also collaborate with software design teams in the process of new product development and define testing approaches based on functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute test cases for HVAC system applications and controls
  • Track progress, document results, and diagnose issues identified
  • Collaborate with software design teams in the process of new product development
  • Define testing approaches based on functional requirements
  • Develop test procedures for automated and manual tests
  • Perform manual and automated tests and troubleshooting analysis
Requirements:
  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Electronics, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Previous experience of at least 2 years in a similar position
  • Knowledge of software testing, design methods, and engineering processes, including QA processes and QA methodologies
  • Considerable background in quality management systems
  • Good understanding of electronic hardware principles
  • Knowledge of industry standard protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus
  • Scripting experience (Python,...)
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize key deliverables
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
