Position Overview

The Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) is at the forefront of a transformative scientific initiative, UCAM-SENS, dedicated to pioneering advancements in critical sectors such as Health, Sports, Food, and Environmental Sciences through innovative (bio)chemical sensing technologies. This initiative is spearheaded by esteemed researchers, Prof. Maria Cuartero and Prof. Gaston Crespo, who bring a wealth of experience from their extensive academic careers in Europe.

Mission Statement

UCAM-SENS operates on four foundational principles:

Role Description

We are seeking a Research Scientist to join our team, contributing to the project titled "ERC-StG, Conquerions – Conquering a New Paradigm for Addressing Ion Detection in Real Scenarios."

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a robust combination of skills and experience, including:

  • A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Engineering Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: ion-transfer electrochemistry, scanning electrochemical microscopy, spectroelectrochemistry, electrochemical nanoimpacts, or electroanalysis.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficient in analyzing and addressing complex scientific challenges.
