The European Space Agency - Esa is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to join our team in the Directorate of Science. As an Internal Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to conduct independent research in a variety of disciplines related to space science, space applications, or space technology.
About the Role
The Research Fellow will be responsible for carrying out scientific research and contributing to the development of the Science Programme. You will work closely with scientists and engineers at the forefront of space science and experience firsthand how the Agency works with communities across the Member States to maximise the scientific return from our missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research in space science, space applications, or space technology
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop the Science Programme
- Contribute to the development of science operation systems for space missions
- Support research activities coordinated by the ESA Science Faculty
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in space science, space applications, or space technology. You will also need to have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
