Job Summary

ING, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Lending Business Analyst or Infrastructure and Lending Associate to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Infrastructure and Lending business, you will play a crucial role in supporting the origination, execution, and management of transactions across various sectors, including social, transport, and regulated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse prospective clients, projects, and acquisitions to identify potential opportunities and risks
  • Write annual reviews and credit papers to provide in-depth analysis and recommendations
  • Perform financial modelling and analysis of complex financial models to inform business decisions
  • Provide external and internal process support across all phases of a new transaction, ensuring seamless execution and delivery
  • Conduct credit risk assessments and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Analyse due diligence information and review documentation to identify potential issues and opportunities
  • Research and prepare market materials, including client presentations, to effectively communicate our value proposition
  • Conduct ongoing portfolio management and administration to ensure optimal performance and returns

Requirements

  • 1-4 years' experience in a related role, preferably in infrastructure and lending
  • Proficient in MS Excel and excellent numeracy skills
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree (additional professional qualification viewed favourably)
  • Credit risk analysis and financial modelling experience highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise according to deadlines
  • A great attention to detail, with a high value on quality and accuracy
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset
