Job Title: Data Science Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Engineer to join our team at the Institute for Materials Science of Barcelona. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for developing advanced artificial intelligence models to extract properties and functions from complex molecular structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets of molecular structures.
  • Design and develop infrastructure for data collection and processing.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop multiscale molecular simulation models for physico-chemical interpretability.
  • Implement and report on work plans in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Physics, Software Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or higher in a related field is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Advanced level of English.

Work Environment:

You will work at the Institute for Materials Science of Barcelona, located at the campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, in close collaboration with the Photonics Engineering Group at the University of Cantabria.
