We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Engineer to join our team at Somma. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced artificial intelligence models to extract chemical, physical, and biological properties from complex molecular structures.
- Design and implement statistical, machine, and deep learning models to analyze large datasets.
- Develop infrastructure and workflows for data collection, including numerical data, text, and images.
- Collaborate with our team to develop multiscale molecular simulation models for physico-chemical interpretability.
- Implement the work plan and provide timely reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Physics, Software Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for a candidate who is:
- Organized, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team.
- Strong in organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Adaptable to a flexible and changing R&D environment.
- Able to work independently.
- Proficient in English.
The successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract associated with the Momentum Project for a duration of 4 years. The annual gross salary will be 41098.95 € according to the salary tables of CSIC. You will also benefit from an extensive training plan, including a Master in Data Science, specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence, and further training courses in technical and soft skills.
You will work at the Institute for Materials Science of Barcelona of CSIC (ICMAB-CSIC) located at the campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), in the group for Nanostructured Molecular Materials for Biomedicine, and in close collaboration with the Photonics Engineering Group at the University of Cantabria through research and formative stays.
