Post-Doc Researcher in Synchrotron Science

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Post-Doc Researcher to join our team at Alba Synchrotron. As a key member of our Experiments Division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our users and contributing to the development of our beamline.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert user support to public and proprietary users, including performing Local Contact duties.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and upgrade the beamline, leveraging your expertise in X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques.
- Engage with other groups within the Experiments Division and Alba to identify synergies and develop new opportunities for the facility.
- Develop your own scientific program in areas such as energy materials and catalysis, utilizing Alba's cutting-edge capabilities.
- Participate in transversal research projects, including energy storage and catalysis, at internal, national, and European levels.
- PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in synchrotron research, with a strong background in XAS and XRD techniques.
- Excellent publication record in scientific fields related to catalysis, energy storage, or environmental sciences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- A temporary contract with the possibility of extension.
