About the Role

AECOM is seeking a talented Architect to join our exceptional Architecture & Design team based in Madrid. As an Architect, you will be part of a highly motivated and proactive team, working on multidisciplinary projects delivered across several geographies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program
  • Prepare and revise documentation in various architectural phases, including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details
  • Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of building systems and materials
  • Attend project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants
  • Interpret and apply building codes and requirements of other regulatory agencies
  • Participate in the preparation of specifications and basic cost estimating
  • Implement sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment
  • Support Project Lead in presentations creation
  • Participate in design critiques and pin-ups
  • Assist in site analysis, research of concept, benchmarks, typology, and precedents
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Architecture + 5 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Fluent in English and Spanish languages (both oral and written)
  • German or other languages will be a plus
  • Proven experience with other design software (Autocad, Sketchup, Photoshop, Rhinoceros,...)
  • Well organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong design and graphics skills
  • Knowledge of space programming
  • Affinity with developing details and experience in construction documents
  • Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment
