Aerospace Safety Engineer

DMD Solutions, a leading consultancy company in aerospace design and RAMS engineering, is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Safety Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of our client products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and analyze safety requirements through customer iteration and documentation review to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, such as SAE ARP-4754 and SAE ARP 4761.
  • Conduct hazard analysis and propose mitigation measures for the procurement, manufacture, assembly, testing, operation, and maintenance of aircraft, aircraft systems, and support equipment.
  • Liaise with customer safety engineering leads to design a sound certification strategy and support technical discussions with certification entity agents.
  • Support customers in developing specific risk assessments, such as Zonal Safety Analysis and Particular Risk Analysis.
RAM Engineering:
  • Perform industry analyses, such as Functional Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Reliability Assessment (RA).
  • Support the collection and analysis of failure data through a FRACAS process and contribute to Reliability Review Board discussions.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautics engineering or Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautics/Mechanics, plus related Master's degree.
  • At least 3 years' experience in Safety Engineering in Aeronautics.
  • Relevant experience in other areas of RAMS engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of ARP4754 and ARP4761.
  • Language skills: proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of Robin RAMS/PTC Windchill/Relex/Isograph.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and committed individual.
  • Strong acumen in project planning, statement of work, and technical discussions.
