Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance and maintain existing automated tests while developing new ones based on implemented features (both UI and API).
  • Contribute to the refinement of the testing framework and pipeline.
  • Participate in manual testing of UI and API, including exploratory testing.
  • Monitor product quality throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the team, product owner, and UI/UX designers to analyze and formalize development requirements.
  • Work closely with developers and fellow testers to establish a technical strategy that enhances the quality of both development and testing processes.
Candidate Profile
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Java Automation.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and Design Patterns.
  • Proficient in Java and Selenium.
  • Familiarity with either TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
  • Experience in UI and API testing.
  • Background in deploying or enhancing a testing framework, with a good grasp of its architecture.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Gitlab CI, Teamcity, Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, YouTrack).
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and software lifecycle.
  • Experience with databases.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Introductory knowledge of containerization, particularly Docker.
  • English proficiency at B1+ level.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
  • Experience in automation using JavaScript/TypeScript and Jest.
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing and automation (e.g., Axe).
  • Familiarity with Playwright.
  • Experience with Allure TestOps.
  • Experience with Selenide.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to navigate command line *nix systems (basic command writing).

About the Team

The Black team focuses on developing the 'Site Audit' product, enabling users to assess their websites for technical issues and monitor changes and statistics regarding various errors. Our tool is recognized as a leader in the global market. The team comprises a Product Owner, five Backend Developers, three Frontend Developers, one Full-Stack Developer, one DevOps Engineer, two QA Automation Engineers, and one Manual QA Engineer. We are currently looking to expand our QA Automation team.

  • Java 11, Maven, TestNG, Selenide, NodeJS, Jest, Playwright, Gitlab CI, Allure TestOps, Test Containers.
  • Additional tools: Youtrack, Confluence.
