Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled research technician with extensive experience in sample preparation specifically for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) techniques applied to preserved tissues, whether cryopreserved or fixed. The successful candidate will collaborate with our associated medical facility to gather samples, process them for IHC or IF, conduct image acquisition, and refine the image acquisition and data analysis workflow.
About Our Laboratory
Our lab is dedicated to high-throughput image analysis, subcellular proteomics, transcriptomics, genetic screening, bioinformatics, and various cell and molecular biology methodologies. We are a diverse team of approximately 10 individuals from various cultural backgrounds. As part of the genome biology department at the CRG, our mission is to explore the localization of metabolic enzymes within the nuclear environment and their roles in specific chromatin functions.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications
Required Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a research technician
- Demonstrated expertise in tissue handling, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and image analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with customizable image analysis workflows
- Knowledge of cancer biology, particularly in relation to breast cancer
- Experience with Western Blotting, cell culture, qPCR, and other routine cellular and molecular biology techniques
Educational Background
- A Certificate of Higher Education as a research technician or a bachelor's/master's degree in biological sciences or a related discipline
Language Proficiency
- Proficient in English

Employment Conditions
Contract Duration: Technical and scientific activities contract with an estimated duration of 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
