Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer, Facilities to join our team at Edwards Lifesciences. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant's facilities, production equipment, and building systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead system upgrading and improvement projects, including validation requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maintain and improve facilities and building systems reliability.
  • Conduct asset lifecycle management reviews of building systems and production equipment, recommending improvements or upgrades as needed.
  • Lead cross-functional operations and quality teams to resolve facilities system or quality-related issues.
  • Review, approve, and assign day-to-day tasks to technicians to maintain facilities reliability and support internal customers' requests.
  • Monitor and maintain facilities systems and procedures to comply with regulatory, quality, and EHS standards.
  • Prepare and participate in quality and EHS audits.
  • Identify and recommend maintenance contracts.
  • Achieve plant EHS goals by monitoring technicians/contractors to ensure safe work practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to facilities technicians to achieve department goals.
  • Review, establish, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Participate in annual budgeting processes and ensure spending meets objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of working experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in medical-related industries with a good engineering background in facilities and building systems.
  • Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Construction projects experience is preferred.

  • Proven expertise in the usage of MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, including consultative and relationship management skills with the ability to drive achievement of objectives.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence change.
  • Proven success adhering to and leading project schedules and managing projects.
  • Substantial understanding and knowledge of facilities systems and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Substantial knowledge of facilities-related government regulations, GMP, and EHS.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to influence change.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.
