We are currently seeking a Permanent Investment Accountant to contribute to our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting for permanent investments and operating leases.
- Conduct reconciliations and oversee their accuracy.
- Engage in internal control activities and ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
- Facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including finance teams and plant accountants.
- Prepare and present financial reports.
- Participate in both internal and external financial audits.
- Provide training and support to colleagues.
- Oversee system setup and maintenance as required.
- Deliver detailed financial reports to stakeholders.
- Analyze and interpret processes within the assigned area to ensure data accuracy and effective reporting.
- Execute closing activities including roll-forward, depreciation, and amortization.
- Address cost versus capital inquiries and other accounting-related questions.
- Actively engage in projects such as system implementations and acquisitions.
Essential Qualifications:
- A degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional European languages is advantageous.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- High level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- Knowledge of US GAAP is required.
- Strong grasp of financial statements, with particular emphasis on permanent investment accounting.
