We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our Atmospheric Composition group within the Earth Sciences department at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS).
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and application of numerical models for predicting atmospheric pollutants and their effects on air quality, weather, and climate.
- Collaborate with the AC group to improve the accuracy and reliability of aerosol forecast products.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of the MONARCH forecast model, a coupled meteorological-chemistry model for simulating gaseous chemistry and aerosols.
- Provide training and know-how on dust modeling, assimilation, and forecast products to early-stage researchers and students.
