About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Energy Analyst to join our team at Green Recruitment Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of analysis tasks related to solar energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site feasibility assessments, including resource and production analysis.
- Design and specify measurement campaigns for solar projects.
- Define site constraints and optimize site design, including technology selection and layout design.
- Perform pre-construction energy yield assessments for solar projects, adhering to industry best practices.
- Review and challenge third-party energy yield assessment reports, identifying critical issues or further analysis requirements.
- Support the tendering process for third-party energy yield analyses, including scope definition.
- Contribute to the development of energy analysis methodology, processes, and tools, incorporating lessons learned from our client's operational portfolio.
- Provide ad-hoc technical support to regional development teams.
- Support the acquisition of pre-construction and operational solar projects and portfolios.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in solar energy yield analysis.
- A track record in a renewable energy project development company or technical advisory/consulting industry is desirable.
- Experience in managing client/external stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency with industry software tools, such as Pvsyst, Meteonorm, PvDesign, PVcase, Rstudio, and Python.
- High level of proficiency with Excel, visual basic, and macro writing experience is an advantage.
- Degree qualification in engineering, physics, maths, meteorology, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish. Italian or Portuguese is an advantage.
