About the Role

The Night Auditor is a key member of the hotel's financial team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions during the night shift. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all guest check-ins and check-outs, including confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys.
  • Process all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit.
  • Resolve any late and disputed charges, and communicate with guests and management as needed.
  • Answer and record all guest calls, messages, and requests, and provide information and directions as required.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room readiness and ensure a smooth check-in process.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.
  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding the property and local areas of interest.
  • Run daily reports, including arrivals and departures, and identify any special requests or discrepancies.
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
  • Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks, and balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
