About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance team, you will be responsible for navigating and enhancing our compliance framework in this crucial market for Qonto.

Your expertise will directly influence our operations and growth in the market, ensuring alignment with local regulations and fostering trust with our Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as the main point of contact for the competent authorities in Spain, maintaining trustful and reliable relationships with Qonto's Supervisors.
  2. Engage in proactive identification and mitigation of compliance risks, through new product reviews, partnerships & outsourcing approvals, etc.
  3. Participate in cross-functional team projects to roll out Qonto's strategy to become Europe's #1 online business account.
  4. Lead and manage compliance projects, setting benchmarks for success.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience in regulatory compliance within the banking or payment industry, preferably with direct exposure to Spanish competent authorities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex regulations into understandable terms.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
