We are seeking a part-time Croatian Localization QA Tester / Proofreader to join our team at Welocalize in Austin, Texas. As a Localization QA Tester / Proofreader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our translations and localization projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct test cases to identify localization bugs and report them via our internal bug-tracking system.
- Verify fixes once implemented and ensure that our translations meet the highest standards of quality.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and maintain test cases and test scripts.
- Work with our bug-tracking system to track and resolve issues efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with our team to ensure that all issues are resolved and that our translations are of the highest quality.
Requirements:
- Native-level fluency in Croatian (grammar, vocabulary, composition, punctuation).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Experience working in translation and localization.
- Tech-savvy, with experience testing web-based systems and applications on Mac OS X and iOS.
- Ability to prioritize linguistic issues and distinguish between a true must-fix and a nice-to-have.
- Experience working with test cases and test scripts.
- Experience with bug-tracking systems.
- Ability to clearly articulate reproduction steps for a given issue and communicate critical information.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work with very diverse teams.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team ethic.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly flat rate of $28.
- A flexible part-time schedule with the option to work from Monday to Friday, within the 9 am to 5 pm time range.
