Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Manager to join our team at Albelli. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of our data protection policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks and vulnerabilities associated with data processing activities.
- Develop and Implement Training Programs: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of data protection policies and procedures.
- Manage Data Subject Rights: Respond to data subject rights requests in a timely and compliant manner, ensuring that all requests are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Incident Response: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and respond to data breaches or privacy incidents, implementing effective response plans to minimize impact.
- Vendor and Third-Party Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of vendors' and third parties' data protection practices to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of processing activities, ensuring that all records are complete and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Implementation Support: Provide support to the Group DPO in implementing data privacy strategies, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Data Inventory Management: Develop and maintain an inventory of processed personal data, ensuring accurate data mapping within the organization.
- Specialist Advisory: Offer expert guidance and recommendations on diverse data protection topics to both the business and customers.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with changes in privacy laws and regulations affecting the company across Europe, providing expert advice and guidance as needed.
- 3 years' experience in a data protection or privacy-related role, preferably in a multi-jurisdictional organization.
- Proficient knowledge of GDPR and data protection best practices.
- Competent use of technology.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Experience with DPIAs, ROPAs, DPA's, and data breach response.
- Certification in data protection, such as CIPP/E.
- Experience with a data privacy software, such as OneTrust.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations in one of the following jurisdictions: Germany, the UK, Spain, or France.
